Pushing Forward

                            Welcome Back!

I don't know who I am really welcoming back, if I am really talking to someone else or just speaking to myself. I started his blog in 2020 as a companion for my podcast, titled The Outtakes.

Why The Outtakes?? Well, to put it simply. This is nothing more than the inner working of my mind. I have always been a writer at heart. I started the journey of writing at a very young age, starting with creating poems and lyrics which I may one day share with the world. My ventures have grown a lot since then. In middle and high school, I believed I would be using my talents in writing to pursue a career as a rapper being inspired by great poets and lyricists, the likes of Dr. Dre, Tupac, Eminem, J. Cole, and Mac Miller, to name a few. These men gave me great inspiration through their vivid story telling, painting pictures in my head as I listened to them speak. I always thought my calling was to be like them, to paint pictures in the minds of young people. Giving them hope for the future, helping them to cope with the pain of life, and even trying to provide peace and happiness whenever they may need. This was what they had done for me. After growing older and hopefully wiser, which I don't know if is actually true. I have come to a realization, I am not destined for a career in music or rap, at least not right now.

See my life has been a journey and amazing experience, reflecting back on all the hard times, trials and tribulations. I would not change them for the world. They have molded me into the man I sit her typing as today. I am grateful to all of it because it has given me the best inspiration to do something crazy.

Over a year ago, after graduating college in August of 2020, I came to another realization in my mind. I began to see my talents of writing wasting away, as I only really wrote little short poems, most of which are unfinished. I hated that I was not using this gift that I believe myself to have. So, I did what a rational boy would do. I sat in self reflection, thinking about my life and what I truly wanted to gain out of my short period of time walking this earth. Then the idea became clear to me, something so easy to see but I had been blind to it. I decided I would write a book, I would write about the story of my life.

A simple concept, but if you know me. Then you know, I will make anything simple into something extravagant. This is what I have been doing for all this time. I have been building a world in my mind and on paper. I world that I see will rival the likes of which has never been seen, something that will tell my story while showing why life is so precise and why we need heroes. Why we need people to inspire us to become so much greater than we think we can be. I started by drawing inspiration from all of the great stories that I have been reading or watching over my life. Stories like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Naruto, and Bleach. Theses were stories that I had grown up loving, the emotion and thought that went into them was what I loved. I loved the characters, the world, the powers, the myths, and most importantly the art. I also began to dive back into these stories, picturing myself in them, yearning for that grand adventure. I dove deeper into all of them, while also finding new one that gave me great inspiration like Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, and Chainsaw Man, just to name a few.

Taking all of these grand adventures and stories, I began to create my life with a twist of fantasy. I now ask you to imagine this, as I paint the picture of my life through this new lens.

Imagine this: A world where the myths and legends of the old times are all true. The Gods and Goddesses that you have always heard stories about from Greek, Roman, Druid, Norse, Aztec, all these tales are true. The Gods use to help our humanity while it was in it's infancy, until they decided to no longer medal in the affairs of humans, fearing the destruction of them and wanting them to make their own decisions to become the civilization they were destined to be. A young boy lives in this world, the descendant of ancients druids of Ireland, which great magical power. His mother's side embodying these powers, using them to try and better their lives, practicing in private to not be hunted down or used by the powers at be. His father's side, a mystery to unravel and unfold, revealing something even greater than the like mere mortals can comprehend. A monster living inside the boy, a monster trying to control him and use him for nothing by destructions. A prophecy telling of something grand and wicked, and a hero rising up to either die or become the villain, bringing about the end of time. A grand adventure through this world and others, a journey into the farthest reaches of space to save a loved one that was taken away. A band of unlikely misfits, great friends with differing abilities and thoughts working together to find what they have been searching for and save what they have lost. This tales, this journey, is nothing like what you will imagine being filled with deep emotions of loss, pain, hope, and mystery. This is a tale of change and success, and adventure in storytelling.

This will be my life, told through the eyes of fantasy. I can't wait for you to read it and paint the pictures in you mind, hopefully inspiring you to take that leap of faith and truly follow your dreams.

To the people who impacted me in this life, this is dedicated to you.

Thank you.
